How does AonHive use TypeScript?
TypeScript development for typed product and integration work.
TypeScript is how the client and the server agree on a payload. A renamed field, a missing status, or a nullable id fails the build on both sides. We do not keep a second, handwritten copy of the same shape. On the Sevenco admin desk the staff role is admin or super_admin, and any other session is signed out.Discuss this stackHow we use it
The contract is a type.

Share the type
Request and response types live where both the UI and the handler can import them. A DTO copied into a second file drifts the week someone edits only one.

Parse at the boundary
A type is a claim about our code. Input from the network is parsed. A payload that does not match is rejected before it reaches the domain.

Make the illegal state unwritable
A status union lists the steps that exist. A function that handles them has a never branch, so a new status does not compile until someone names what it does.
